Lessons We Can Learn from Noah's Story

The story of Noah and the Flood is not just a tale of destruction and salvation, but it is also a lesson in righteousness and obedience. Noah was a righteous man in a time when wickedness prevailed, and he obeyed God's commands despite the ridicule of others. As a result, he was saved from the destruction that befell the rest of the world.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation; Noah walked with God. - Genesis 6:9

This story reminds us of the importance of living a righteous life in a world where sin is prevalent. We should strive to live according to God's commands, even when it is difficult or unpopular. Noah's faith and obedience show us that it is possible to stand out and do the right thing even when everyone else is going in the opposite direction.

By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in godly fear built an ark to save his family. By faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. - Hebrews 11:17

Additionally, the story of the Flood shows us the gravity of God's justice and the promise of His salvation. Every sin we commit grieves God, and His justice demands judgement for that sin. However, just as God provided salvation for Noah and his family, He has also provided salvation for each of us through Christ. All sin can be forgiven and is forgiven by the works of the Cross and the Blood of Jesus, sometimes we just have to ask God to forgive us for things that hold us back, things we can't see that are in our lives that stop us from seeing God's glory and receiving his power.

If He did not spare the ancient world when He brought the flood on its ungodly people, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, among the eight... [READ ALL 2 Peter 2]

Some people say we don't need to ask God anymore cause once He forgives, that's it, but if you legally go steal something from someone's house, even though you may not be a thief or done it before, justice still will be served by the Court system, and if you don't turn up to Court you are more than likely going to be thrown in jail with fine to pay for your wrongdoings, that is justice, you still sinned you still pay the price in some shape or form.

But you argue the fact that Jesus will stand up for you in Courts and He will cover it! It's true and I've seen this in Heaven, when I did my first Court Case I had no idea what to do and Jesus met me in the corridor and through my anxiousness and lack of understanding He said "I got this," and did the case for me. But this is not the case in all cases, yes He is there, yes He is my advocate, Yes He is my support and like a Lawyer is right there with you, but you still have to go through the process of the justice system. It's simple, the sin was committed, now what justice will apply to it, will you repent and apply the blood of Jesus, or will ignore the sin saying it's all covered no worries mate attitude and suffer the consequences of your personal actions. I see people suffer all the time because they leave unchecked sins undealt with and the doors to their soul are wide open for the enemy to attack their bodies, their health, their finance, their relationships, their minds.

It's best to ask God to forgive us and wash us clean. I've seen so many things in peoples lives who are Christians and don't understand why things are happening to them. So we go through the process of elimination ancestors sins, parents sins, others sins and then of course personal sins! If you commit adultery and fornication, if you swear everyday thinking it's no problem if you're envious, or jealous, or gossipy, or simply an outright liar, all these things matter, just cause God forgives you doesn't mean you should keep doing it because these become open doorways that allows the enemy to attack you from your own doing.

Finally, the rainbow that God set in the sky as a sign of His covenant with mankind reminds us of God's faithfulness and promises. Even in the midst of destruction and chaos, God is always faithful to His promises and will never abandon us. We can trust in His promises and find hope and comfort in His unwavering love for us, and forgiveness.
